Building a culture of curiosity,
engineering & innovation.
Savitri Support and Services Private Limited is an innovation-driven technology and engineering company specializing in agricultural drone spraying, STEM platforms, and applied technology.
Objective
Bridging the gap between bookish knowledge and practical engineering innovation across India.
Today's world is in the era of technological renaissance, and no country and society can ignore the innovation in technology, research and industry of this era. But the general public in our country has limited familiarity and interest in this subject. In common discussions, topics are often centered around politics or entertainment, rather than technology, science, or innovation.
Global vs Local Reality
In countries such as Japan and the USA, families often have garages and backyard laboratories. In India, universities, government departments, and formal institutions take primary responsibility, yet their reach among the general masses remains limited.
The Employability & Skill Gap
According to the National Employability Report for Engineers (2019) conducted across 170,000 engineering students, overall employability stands at only 20%. The survey notes that 37.7% of engineering graduates in India lack practical coding skills, compared to just 10.35% in China. Practical hands-on experience, vision, and real-world skills are urgently required.
Energy, creativity, and ambition peak during secondary school and college years. If students at this age are provided appropriate skills, vision, tools, equipment, and the opportunity to experiment with freedom, many can achieve new inventions, practical projects, and technological enterprises. However, most students in normal and government schools encounter a bookish, exam-oriented system where practical experience in modern science and technology is sparse.
Completion: Beyond Bookish Knowledge
Bookish knowledge does not prove sufficient in science and technology. It is not only incomplete for learning technique, but unable to sensitize young minds into active creation. If a child learns the theory of an electric motor from a textbook, he can write it in an exam but cannot build it, nor feel inspired to make it. He needs both skill and vision.
There is a vital need for local interest groups, school and college workshops, community maker spaces, and cyber centers — especially for interested students and girls. Small, localized workshops allow human creativity to flourish. Creativity exists in every person; to develop it requires hands-on work, experimental freedom, orientation, and a supportive environment. From information technology to agricultural drones, vast creative possibilities exist where even failed experiments contribute to real discovery.
